Request for correct name for Collins' Pachymeria picipes
I have some large Empids which seem to key out as Pachymeria picipes, using Collins� 1961 key.
Is this species now known as Euempis picipes or as something else?� Pachymeria picipes is in Kloet and Hincks (2nd Edn 1975) but not in the Checklist edited by Peter Chandler.
Also are there any similar species which I ought to consider before labelling these specimens as picipes?
