Chrysops sp

This fly was in a wetland area. I thought it might be a species of Chrysops.

This is indeed a male Chrysops, Not C. sepulchralis or C. caecutiens which have the male abdomen entirely black. It appears that the mid tibia is orange at the base which supports tis and implies C. viduatus or C. relictus. However, the apex of the anal cell is strongly darkened which means the it is almost certainly C. relictus.
