Strange Encounter?

Noticed these two getting closer and it looks like they touched proboscis. Would this be feasible?

Re: Strange Encounter?

From where the fly and the bee appear to be standing, and the angle of the fly's head, I'd say that the extended proboscis is going for the petal, not the bee.

Re: Strange Encounter?

Well, I thought I might have spotted something but just my over-active imagination!  Thanks Tony, that makes sense.
