Pollenia

Does anyone have a key for UK Pollenia? I have access to huge numbers of these and would like then identified to species level.

Re: Pollenia

Pollenia are included in the Fauna Ent. Scand volume 24, "Blowflies (Diptera, Calliphoridae) of Fennoscandia and Denmark", by Knut Rognes (1991). As far as I can see all the British species are included (P. viatica is included as P. pallida). It's a good, detailed key.

Re: Pollenia

I do agree about the key - it's excellent. Indeed the whole book, which covers all the British Calliphoridae, is superb. But so it should be at a cost of more than 90!

Re: Pollenia

I do plan to purchase the book in time, but was trying to avoid the 90 just for the 8 British Pollenia

Re: Pollenia

You could try contacting Chris Palmer at Hampshire County Museum, they've got a good entomological library alongside their collections.
