National Insect Week

This is National Insect Week, folks!  This event is an initiative of the Royal Entomological Society and the Dipterists Forum is one of the participating organisations.  There are insect events all over the country -  see the website at www.nationalinsectweek.co.uk and look up what is happening in your area.

If you go to an event, why not write in and tell us about it?  If you are lucky enough to be out with your net in the sun anywhere this week,
why not write in and tell us of any good flies you found?

A small group of people interested in flies will be attending the Dipterists Forum field week in the Cairngorms starting this Saturday, so we will soon have news of Scottish flies (I hope I will have more to say than that I have been midge bait!).

Re: National Insect Week

We can found more flies in winter and also when it is so cloudy. I am interested in flies and this is my first visit to your forums.
