Pretty chironomid

I have just joined this forum, initially in the hope of having some photos IDed.
This one was in my moth trap. About 5mm body length.
Many thanks
Peter
PS I have just read the bit about a subscription - do I have to pay this to post on the forum ? ( I've no objection to doing this - just don't want to do anything wrong ! )

Hi Peter,
No, you do not have to be a Member of the Dipterists Forum to post on this website, However, there are sections that only Dipterists Forum Members can view and utilise, That is one of the benefits of Full/Paid

All the best, Mick

Re: Pretty chironomid

Ignore my message (below), I've just seen the title of your thread, and you already knew it was a chironomid!

Apologies,
Martin

Peter,

I think your photo is of a chironomid midge, but can't tell you any more than that.

Martin
