Denatured alcohol

I now have my "authority to receive denatured alcohol" Could any one give me advice where I can but the stuff at a sensible cost, and in modest quantities (1 - 2.5L)

HM Revenue & Customs say high street chemists sell smaller quantities, this does not seem to be the case locally. Other suppliers seem to want to sell large quantities of 25L+ - my authority is for 2.5L.

Re: Denatured alcohol

Hi Mark

I still have have a bottle of this - presumably from the good old days when it could be bought from the local DIY.

I think I used it for cleaning brushes after using cellulose based paints - so, for a local supply it might be worth popping along to your nearest car workshop that does paint spraying and speaking to them very nicely.

Failing that a quick Google brings up lots of internet suppliers. As an example ReAgent Chemical Supplies will send 2.5L for £18.33 - I'm sure a bit more delving will produce more favourable results, but it gives an idea

Regards
Neil
