Diptera storage cabinets

I have been considering buying a storage cabinet for diptera as the number of boxes I have is starting to pile up (literally). However the prices in UK are beyond my budget.

I have found a maker in India (Rescholar) and they have quoted me about $US425 for a 12 drawer unit + shipping costs. I am still trying to find out what the shipping would be. Has anyone on here dealt with Rescholar and can vouch for them?  They look pretty good on their web site.

If anyone knows a UK supplier who can match that sort of pricing please could you let me know?

Re: Diptera storage cabinets

Hello John,
I don't think there is any chance that you could buy at that price in the UK - even for a used cabinet. It looks like an exceptionally good price and I might well be interested in buying a cabinet from Resholar at that price, as I have the same issue - boxes piling up and a steady flow of new material coming in.

If two or more ordered together, this would save on shipping (i.e. half the cost or less, if shared), but then one of us would have to arrange for collection or delivery in the UK and that's not cheap with fuel costs as they are. However, I am in Shropshire, which is not too far away from Northants, so maybe we could meet half way so one could pick up a cabinet from the other. Would this be of interest to you John?

One question - what is EVA (used to line the bottom of trays)? Is it similar to plastazote?

Hi..My sister purchased several boxes and a medium sized cabinet last month. She was given a good price and some freebies. I will ask her the contact details and will update tomorrow. Thanks! smile
