The blue-black species c. 7mm long was from Duck End NR, Beds on 24 June 2010.
The other one, with yellow abdomen was c. 6mm long and was found at Flitwick Moor NR, Beds on 06 Jul 2010.
I have the specimens.
Suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

The midges are Sciaridae, genus Sciara. I'll pass on the tachinid...
