Check your windows for flies

The current heatwave is affecting the dispersal of flies at the moment. Perhaps a good opportunity to check for things of interest on windows.
I found Megamerina dolium in my shed the other day so if you've got something similar with a window, leave the door open and check it out from time to time. This one looks like a small black ichneumon.

Re: Check your windows for flies

In the last couple of weeks I've twice found males of the scarce clusiid fly Clusia tigrina on windows inside my house (mid Buckinghamshire - it turned up once here before some years ago, so maybe there is a local colony or maybe it's dispersing in favourable weather as Darwyn suggests).
