Small iridescent green fly

On my brief excusrion to Stanford Wood today, I also netted this small iridescent green fly.
It was only about 4mm long and not a very cooperative photographic subject, so these are not among my best Diptera images.  Nonetheless I would be very grateful if anyone can perhaps suggest an identification for this species.

Many thanks

Alan
