Orange acalyptrates akin to Dryomyzidae

I am frustrated to have failed to run these two large orange flies to earth.
The first has a length of 9.1 mm and a wing length of 8.9 mm. It came from Denny Wood, New Forest on 2.ix.2009, netted near dead wood with fungus.
The second has a length of 9 mm and a wing length of 7.5 mm. It was swept from calcareous grassland, Bulford Field on Salisbury Plain on 22.vi.2009, but I appear to have a further specimen from Titchfield Haven, a wetland reserve, 23/24.vi.2008, Malaise trap. There is moist dead wood at the second site.
Please can anyone point me in the right general direction?

Left looks like Neuractena anilis (Dryomyzidae), right I think is Psila (Psilidae).
