a cranefly at light

This is another of my 2011 Beds craneflies attracted to my UV moth trap light in our garden in Clifton, Beds on 30 April 2011. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I do have the specimen.

Many thanks

Alan

Re: a cranefly at light

It's definitely in genus Nephrotoma, and it looks a good match for N. appendiculata, although again I'm afraid I'm not 100% certain of that. Did the stigma (darkish spot on edge of the wing) appear solid and dark, or was it paler than that?
